Classes for the 2016 Season
Pro Eliminator – This class is for cars/bikes/sleds that have electronics – If you are competing in the Summit Super Series this is the BOX class.
Sportsman – This class is for cars/bikes/sleds that do not have electronics, you are allowed a trans brake – If you are competing in the Summit Super Series this is the NO BOX class.
Heavy Street – This class is for cars/bikes/sleds that run 11.50 sec or slower, no electronics or trans brakes
Jr Dragster – This class is for children age 7 – 17 years old. They are broken down by et cut off based on age group. Please refer to the IHRA rule book for clarification.

Interlake Dragway has some exciting news for you hardcore racers and fans!!! You’ve asked for it, and we’re ready to satisfy your wants and needs!!! New for the 2016 Race Season is the addition of a “Run For The Money” race every Saturday along with Test & Tune!!! Let’s get out there and make this the biggest year yet!!! Here’s the Rules and Information!!!
Entree Fee for “Run For The Money” Race is $50 along with your $60 Test and Tune Fee
Competitors must sign up and pay at the gate by 12:00
A minimum of Eight cars needed
16 or more cars and we’ll add another $200 to the pot!!
16 Cars or less: Winner 70% Runner-Up 30%
17 Cars or more: Winner 50% Runner-Up 30% Semi’s 20%
Unlimited Time Trials
First round for “Run For The Money” starts at 1:30 PM
Box and No-Box all run together
First Round will be run in Lanes 1 & 2 and will not be on a ladder. Competitors will line up in the lanes and Larry will pull numbers out of his favorite Crown Royal sack to pick the buy run, pair competitors, and assign you your lane
Remaining rounds will be on a ladder with the competitor having the best light from the previous round getting the buy if necessary
In the event of a rainout during the race, the remaining cars still in, will split the total purse evenly
Exciting News for Local racers
The Summit Super Series, IHRA’s largest and most prestigious program for weekly bracket racers, has taken the next step in the evolution of the series. Beginning in 2016, the Summit Super Series track champions of each IHRA member track will win the right to compete in the Summit World Finals held at Memphis International Raceway on October 14-16, 2016.
Exciting new changes will give 3 local racers a chance to go directly from qualifying at there local track to racing at the World Finals for over $250,000 in cash and prizes. One racer from Box, No-Box and Jr. Dragster will qualify at Interlake Dragway and go directly to Memphis.
Qualifying is much easier in 2016 than previous years and each qualified racer has the potential to recieve a special bonus to be used as Tow Money to help with travel costs.
